Kate Molleson focuses on Florence Price at a moment when her music was reaching its widest audience, from major orchestral performances to high profile cultural events in Chicago. Centring on the World’s Fair, the programme traces the concerts, pageants and collaborations through which Price’s work circulated during the 1930s, and the prominence she achieved amid the social and political realities of the period.
