Music, chat and James McAvoy

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie present a feast of great music and chat for weekend breakfast.

Today, they hear from Scottish actor James McAvoy who shares his ‘First, Last and Everything’ - that’s his first record, the record he's been enjoying most recently and the record that means ‘everything’ to him. He also discusses his latest film - California Schemin' - which he directs and stars in.

James is known for starring roles in films such as Atonement, The Last King Of Scotland and X-Men as well as TV series including Shameless. California Schemin' is his directorial debut.

Also on the show... long-running feature ‘The Chain’, which gives listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8,700 songs.
