Following the last Great War, the Third Hokage promised that in exchange for forbidding the Tsuchigumo Clan’s use of a powerful jutsu, the Leaf would provide aid if the clan were in danger. Led by Captain Yamato, Team 7 arrives at the fort that came under attack. There, Naruto fights a mysterious man named Utakata.
