Terms and Conditions
These terms were amended on the 25th of June 2026
1. The competition is open to all residents of the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 or over, except BBC or BBC Group Company employees, their close relatives or anyone connected with the competitions or the particular prizes being offered.
2. The Asian Network: Big Summer of Prizes competition will open Tuesday 23rd June and run until Thursday 16th July 2026 (each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
3. During this period, competitions will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Nikita Kanda’s Breakfast Show and on Wednesdays in Haroon Rashid’s morning show (Jaz Singh on the 8th and 15th July). To enter the competition, entrants must listen out for a qualifying question asked by the presenter. Once this happens the presenter will open the competition window for 20 minutes during which listeners can call in and answer the qualifying question.
5. For all competition rounds, entrants who phone in to the Breakfast, Haroon Rashid & Jaz Singh shows will have to answer the qualifying question correctly and will also need to convince the Asian Network phone operators why they should be put forward for a call back for the chance to be a winner on-air. The phone operators will ask each entrant additional two questions and score each answer out of 5 based on their enthusiasm and passion for the prize, for an overall score out of 10. The two questions are:
1. What’s your favourite show on the Asian Network and why?
2. Why do you want to win the prize?
The phone operators will shortlist a selection of entrants with the highest overall scores who also got the qualifying question correct to be called back live on air. Entrants will be called back in order of their scores (with the highest scoring entrant being called first). To be a winner, the entrant must personally answer their phone within five rings. If the call is not answered within this time, or if it is diverted to any form of voicemail, answerphone, or automated answer service (including but not limited to call screening features that intercept or filter calls), the entrant will be deemed not to have answered and the production team will move on to the next entrant in highest score order. If there are no winners after 3 entrants have been called then the prize for that day will roll over to the Breakfast Show on the Friday of that week where an additional round of the competition will be played if there are one or more rollover prizes to be won. Using the same method, if there are no winners on a Friday then the prizes will be forfeit. No prizes are rolled over to the following week.
6. Registration to take part in the competition is only available by using the following method:
by phoning 03459 440 445 during the registration window described above. Standard geographic call charges apply. No other method of entry will be accepted.
7. Entrants who do not win a prize may enter other competition rounds. Winners are excluded from other competition rounds.
8. Each entrant must enter the competition on their own behalf, and register using their own phone. The BBC reserves the right to disqualify any entrant.
9. The BBC's decision as to entrants and winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
10. Winners agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required.
11. On each day of the competition the presenters of the respective shows will announce the prize available to win that day. Entrants must listen out for which prize is available on a given competition day to avoid disappointment. The available prizes are:
