Eurovision Song Contest – BBC selection process to choose the UK act and song

The process to choose the act and song that will represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest is an internal selection process with the BBC and BBC Studios (the production arm of the BBC) collaborating together to make the decision.

Specifically, BBC Studios have partnered with an experienced UK music industry figure to identity potential artists and songs. Together they are working with artist managers, UK record labels, publishers, songwriters, BBC Music and BBC Introducing to select the UK entry and song.

The act and song will be publicly announced before the European Broadcasting Union’s deadline in March.

The BBC and BBC Studios do not currently have a formal, open submission process for members of the public to send in song demos for the Eurovision Song Contest.
