They will cover issues affecting Londoners as well as celebrity interviews and fun interaction with listeners. Lesley says: "I adore radio and am absolutely delighted to be working with a great friend on a new show." Roland Rivron joins JoAnne Good for the Saturday breakfast show from 8 March, from 7.00 to 10.00am, for a look ahead to what's happening in the world of film, theatre, music and family attractions in the capital. Roland is looking forward to getting started. He says: "Lie-in, listen and have a laugh." David Robey, BBC London 94.9 Editor, said: "I'm really excited by this new line-up, which adds even more star quality to the weekends with Lesley Joseph, Christopher Biggins and Rowland Rivron joining our established personalities Vanessa Feltz, Tony Blackburn and Jo Good. "What's more, they are not just celebs, they are passionate about radio and London and they love talking, so they'll be a great listen." The schedule also sees Vanessa Feltz's hugely popular Saturday chat show moving to a slightly later slot of 10.00am to 1.00pm. At 1.00pm there will be a chance to hear the best of the Robert Elms and Danny Baker shows from the previous week.
Tony Blackburn moves to Sundays at midday for a new format of his classic gold hits, requests, dedications and memories. LB2 |
