BBC Sport broadcasts 26th Africa Cup Of Nations

The definitive competition in African football, the 26th Africa Cup Of Nations is the football festival which captures the imagination of Africa and millions around the world.

This year, BBC Three will be following the action as hosts and seven-time finalists Ghana, along with the remaining 15 qualifying teams, look to wrest the title from current holders, Egypt.

With BBC Sport presenters Jake Humphrey and Manish Bhasin in London and former French international and ex-Chelsea skipper Marcel Desailly bringing regular reports back from Ghana, BBC Three's coverage will bring viewers colourful and imaginative features on the teams, locations and competing countries.

And, with many of the teams fielding a host of British-based stars, there will be no shortage of team line-ups and stories that fans in the UK will recognise.

Joining Jake and Manish in the studio to provide a mix of expert opinion and analysis will be ex-Chelsea midfielder Gavin Peacock, former Nigerian international Efan Ekoku, and erstwhile manager of Torquay, Brentford and Sierra Leone Leroy Rosenior.

Simon Brotherton and Mark Bright will be in Ghana providing commentary.

The line-up is completed by reporter Damien Johnson and commentators Martin Fisher and John Roder.

The BBC Sport website bbc.co.uk/africanfootball will have a comprehensive site devoted to the tournament that will include live scores, reports on every match, as well as news and features.

BBC Radio 5 Live's Ian Dennis will also be in Ghana providing reports and updates on the group matches.

And digital radio station BBC 1Xtra will be featuring all the action and highlights from the tournament, with a series of shows from London and host nation Ghana.

BBC World Service will provide live commentary and in-depth analysis of the key matches, reporting in Arabic, English, French, Hausa, Kinyarwanda, Kirundi, Portuguese, Somali and Swahili from the heart of the games for radio and online, to ensure fans never miss a single moment.

The event, played every two years, runs from 20 January to 10 February, with match locations in Accra, Kumasi, Sekondi and Tamale. The final will be played in Accra, at the Ohene Djan stadium and will be broadcast live on BBC Two.
