Radio Norfolk's shout out

BBC Radio Norfolk gives a shout out to local bands, offering them the chance to do a studio session for its new show starting between 7 and 8pm on Friday 7 December.

BBC Norfolk Introducing presenters Adrian Cooke, Jack Dearlove and Katherine Nash want to hear from anyone who is writing and performing original material in Norfolk. The trio are serving up a slice of the best new music emerging from the local scene.

The station's new show is part of the pan-BBC Introducing initiative.

And listeners to tonight's BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens' show (Wednesday 5 December, 9-10pm) get a taste of what to expect from Norfolk when Huw plays a snapshot of some of the unsigned bands that they have come across so far.

The BBC Norfolk show focuses on music from the region, but visitors passing through are also welcome to contact the show.

Listeners will also be able to get the low-down on featured bands, while internet users can watch exclusive video footage by checking out the music section at bbc.co.uk/norfolk.

Anyone interested in getting involved can email: norfolkintroducing@bbc.co.uk.

BBC Norfolk Introducing, 7-8pm every Friday from 7 December 2007 on BBC Radio Norfolk on 95.1, 95.6 and 104.4FM, digital radio and online at bbc.co.uk/norfolk.
