Five-days, eight venues and more than 80 artists
The BBC Electric Proms today confirmed more artists who have been added to the bill for this year's five-day event. The festival, dedicated to creating new moments in music, is taking place in Camden, London from 24 to 28 October 2007 with tickets going on sale tomorrow (Wednesday 12 September) at noon. There will be more than 80 artists performing in total. The following bands and artists have been added to the bill (in bold) with more to follow: Wednesday 24 October - Mark Ronson and the BBC Concert Orchestra and guests

BBC Electric Proms film programme BBC Electric Proms is about more than just live music performances. The festival will also be screening a number of new and classic works including films from Sigur Rós, Daft Punk and The Flaming Lips. There will also be a new film on Bob Dylan and an exclusive screening of The Beatles' Help! which has been digitally remastered in anticipation of its first DVD release. - Last year over 250,000 people visited the Electric Proms website with over 850,000 requests to watch performances.

- There will be televised highlights broadcast on BBC Two with more performance available via the red button service for digital television customers.

Performance details: Wednesday 24 October The Coral Details tbc Mark Ronson and the BBC Concert Orchestra and guests Mark Ronson will be performing reworked tracks from his hugely successful album – Version – featuring very special guests including Lily Allen, Sean Lennon, Paul Weller, Terry Hall, Santo Gold, Candie Payne and Tim Burgess. Editors with strings Performing in Camden's intimate Koko club, Editors are re-working some of their best known tracks to include classical string accompaniment giving them a fresh, delicate make over. John Peel Night at Electric Proms Siouxsie Sioux Peel favourite Siouxsie Sioux will be performing tracks from her new album – Mantaray – live for the first time alongside some classic tracks from her back catalogue spanning 30 years as part of John Peel Night at the Electric Proms. Agaskodo Teliverek A mixture of electronica, punk and pop, this Japano-Hungarian band will be bringing their own special blend of madness to the John Peel Night at Camden's Electric Ballroom. Charlie Louvin All the way from Nashville, the home of country music, living legend and septuagenarian Charlie Louvin, will be performing songs from his long and illustrious career. He will be joined on the odd number by Louvin devotees The Handsome Family and Detroit's finest, Blanche. Sigur Rós – Film and performance Taking place at Cecil Sharp House will be the UK premiere of Heima – a new film by Sigur Rós. Heima, meaning both "at home" and "homeland", is a cinematic and musical feast, providing an insight into one of the world's shyest and least understood bands. The band will also give a unique stripped down acoustic performance of their music. Thursday 25 October Paul McCartney Details tbc SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS with Jamie Cullum Uber Japanese club jazz band SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS will be performing with piano maestro Jamie Cullum for a night of musical mind expansion in The Roundhouse's Dr Martens FreeDM Studio. Hadouken One of the "hot and new" artists who will be performing at the festival. The Enemy "Hot and new" band The Enemy will be playing tracks from their number one album – We Live And Die By These Towns – in a stripped down intimate show in front of 200 fans at the Barfly in Camden. Justice French dance music heroes Justice will be supporting The Chemical Brothers at Koko. The Chemical Brothers The Chemical Brothers will perform tracks from their number one album – We Are The Night – and classic hits from across the years with special guests to be announced. Tribute to Lal Waterson The late Lal Waterson was one of Britain's most revered folk singers. For the BBC Electric Proms the whole Waterson family (including Norma Waterson, Mike Waterson, Eliza Carthy, Martin Carthy, Marry Gilhooley and Oliver Knight) will gather to celebrate the songs of Lal. They will be joined by some very special guests including James Yorkston, Alasdair Roberts, Lisa Knapp, Tim Van Eyken and Kathryn Williams. Friday 26 October Cold War Kids Cold War Kids will be performing brand new tracks from their latest album alongside a selection of covers from some of their favourite artists. Kaiser Chiefs via David Arnold Post punk rock heroes Kaiser Chiefs are linking up with legendary Grammy Award-winner David Arnold. Arnold, famed for his work scoring James Bond films, will be taking a brand new approach to the arrangement and performance of some of the band's biggest anthems. The Metros One of the "hot and new" bands who will be performing at the festival. Reverend And The Makers One of the "hot and new" bands who will be performing at the festival. Daler Mehndi and The Wolfmen Bhangra/pop singer Dahler Mehndi will collaborate with rockers The Wolfmen for a very special performance for the Asian Network. Bishi Details tbc Basquiat Strings with Seb Rochford Mercury Prize-nominated Basquiat Strings will perform with drummer Seb Rochford, NYC saxophonist Ellery Eskelin and improvising double bass player Simon H Fell in a unique collaboration, especially for the Electric Proms. Saturday 27 October Kano Presents his tracks from his latest album – London Town – with special guest Craig David. Ghetto Details tbc Sunday 28 October Ray Davies Legendary singer-songwriter Ray Davies will be performing tracks from his new album – Working Man's Cafe – for the first time. He will also be joined by a selection of special guests including The Crouch End Chorus as he performs a number of classic tracks from his solo and Kinks back catalogue.
