Phil Tickle, the youngest of the Tickle twins by seven minutes, has been talking to BBCi's Rachel Binns about Jon's part in Big Brother, and how he will be coping under the watchful eye of a nation.

Initially, Jon said he was from London even though he's from Norwich. Do you think he should be putting Norwich on the map?

He was born in Norwich, at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. He absolutely loves Norwich and Norfolk, but he lives and works in London. I guess when someone asks you where you live, then you say the place where you’re currently living. Our family’s still based in Norfolk and we love it round here - it’s a fantastic place to live.

Both of you went to Avenue middle School.

Yes that’s right. We really enjoyed our time there, it’s a really good school. I remember they had a really strong music department and we both really enjoyed playing in the orchestra.

Is there one memory that stands out from your time at that school?

The orchestra stuff stood out, because if you were in the orchestra at Avenue Middle School you were a little bit of a special person and you got to do orchestra stuff instead of lessons and got to do concerts at St Andrew’s Hall and that was great fun.

What about Earlham School? What’s your main memory from there?

Earlham was great. Our dad, Dr Tickle was head of the maths department so we always had to remember to do our homework because otherwise we were in trouble at school and in trouble at home as well.

Tell me about the chickens you used to have as youngsters - apparently you had chickens, geese and a goat.

Two goats and some rabbits! Mum and dad were always keen that we’d grow up knowing how to look after animals and we also grew a lot of our own vegetables - organic stuff. They wanted us to have responsibility of looking after another living thing.

Do you think the skills you’ve acquired by looking after the animals will help Jon when he has to look after the Big Brother chickens?

I think he’s going to be Big Brother chicken manager!

If he is evicted on Friday, how do you think he will handle the experience?

He was very clear to me when he went in, that he’d done what he wanted to do. He’d set out to prove the dare wrong that he couldn’t get on, so anything else now is a bonus. I’m sorry that you have to kick someone out, because they all really look like lovely people - certainly the families back stage - they’re great.

So whoever leaves on Friday it’s going to be a shame, but I think Jon’ll be fine, he’s had his success, he’s just enjoyed it. I’m hoping he doesn’t come out, but if he does, that’s just what happens.
