Liverpool sign France winger Bradley Barcola in £123m deal

Liverpool have signed French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris St-Germain in a deal that could eventually be worth £123m.

The Reds will pay just over £106m at first. A further £17m could be added if Barcola and Liverpool achieve certain targets, such as winning trophies.

"It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play," Barcola said.

"I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League - it's one of my biggest dreams in my life."

Barcola, who is 23, is known for his speed, dribbling and ability to run past defenders, he made 49 appearances for PSG in the 2025-26 season, scored 13 goals and provided seven assists for teammates to score.

During three seasons in Paris, he helped PSG win three French league titles and two Champions Leagues in a row.

Barcola also impressed for France at the 2026 World Cup, playing in all eight of their matches and scoring three goals, including against England in the 3rd place match.

He is right-footed but usually plays on the left wing. That allows him to cut inside and shoot towards goal.

Liverpool will hope Barcola will bring more pace and goals to their attack following the departures of Mohamed Salah this summer and Luis Diaz last year.

The move could also decide the future of Red's Dutch forward Cody Gakpo, who is expected to leave Anfield.
