Are you ready to make the move to your next year?

The end of the school year is nearly here and that means summer holidays are round the corner too.

But before then many of you may have a transition, or moving up day, coming up.

You might be moving into a new year, starting secondary school or joining a new school altogether.

The special day is a chance to get a bit of a feeling for what is going to be like for your when you move up after the holidays.

The day is a chance to visit your new school or class before the new school year starts.

That could mean meeting your teachers, getting to grips with the layout of the building and learning things like where your classroom, lunch room and outside spaces are.

Some schools will put on lessons for you to try and where you can meet other pupils.

The aim is to make you feel more prepared and ready for the year ahead.
