Firefighters tackle large blaze involving scrap cars
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue ServiceFirefighters have been called to a large blaze involving scrap cars.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Access Road in Ranskill at 14:41 BST on Monday.
It said 12 engines were in attendance at the blaze, which involved scrap cars and a crusher.
A spokesperson for the service said: "Local residents are advised to keep their doors and windows shut, and we ask that people avoid the area."
It added firefighters were working to extinguish the fire, however the service predicted it would be on site for "several hours at least".
