Does the net zero consensus still have a future? Energy underpins the global economy and each year we spend more than $10tn on it, but the move to renewables isn't going smoothly.

Former British prime minister Tony Blair has called for a major rethink of how we reach net zero, whilst President Trump has pulled the US out of the Paris climate agreement.

On top of that, fossil fuel use is still growing as the planet hits record temperatures, and renewables have come under scrutiny because of huge power cuts in Spain and Portugal. So can they ever dominate?
