Once upon a time, the various Christian Faiths used to view each other with a certain amount of suspicion. Woe betide the Anglican daughter who started courting a Roman Catholic for instance! In recent years, a lot of the barriers have been broken down as many Christians realised they were all pointing in the same general direction. A good example is on Walney Island, where Anglicans, Catholics and Methodists have joined forces under the banner of 'Churches Together On Walney'. Paul O'Neill met the three clergymen involved: Father Tom Singleton of St Columbas Church John Hodgkinson the Vicar Of St Mary's Methodist Minister David Edmondson, who explained why they decided to come together...
