How to create these festival make-up looks

The weather’s getting warmer, which means festival season is here! ☀️

Get ready with Abby, Joel and Shini for the Radio 1 Big Weekend music festival with these three super easy make-up and party looks that you can do at home with just a few simple products.

They're the perfect inspo for your concerts, festivals and summer parties in the sunshine!

Our three make-up pros have used:

  • Bio-degradable glitter

  • Gems

  • Sequins

  • Face paint

Remember, when you use any new make-up, you should always do a patch test first to make sure your skin is happy with the product. Make sure to wash it all off before you go to sleep, too.

Zara Larsson is headlining on Saturday's main stage at the Radio 1 Big Weekend, and you can see what Shini and our Radio 1 Big Weekend Blue Peter Competition winner got up to on Blue Peter on May 29th!

In the meantime, why not find out which Radio 1 Big Weekend artist you're most like, and with a parent or guardian's permission, you can see your favourite artist's performance at Big Weekend 2026 on BBC iPlayer. ✨
