What happens to your information?

When you vote on something at CBBC we collect your IP address and BBC account information. This information cannot be used to identify you and helps us make sure the vote is genuine.

All the information your parents or guardians need to know is here – make sure they read it!

• We promise to always keep your information safe. We will share this information with a company called Telescope who help us run the votes on CBBC (they will also keep it safe), but we won’t share it with anyone else.

• We keep the vote and related information for 2 years – this helps us explain what we do to important external people.
