The queen of Countdown meets the king of the dance floor as they perform some dazzling numbers in the ballroom.

Week One saw Rachel and Pasha flying high with a solid 27 for their Waltz, but they came crashing back down to earth with a 20 for their Salsa the following week. Judges' comments dipped and dived from "Darling, you really had a kind of graceful and fragrant quality, in the fragility of a spring blossom" from Bruno in Week One, to "I thought you were wriggling round like a slug in salt" from Craig in Week Two. Ouch.

Week Three saw Rachel back on form, matching her score from Week One for her Cha-Cha-Cha.

It's not a case of 'maybe baby' with Ashley because in Week Two his wife gave birth to their second son, adding just one more tiny, adorable, squishy little thing onto his plate... on top of filming Hollyoaks for 12 hours a day and rehearsing with Ola until midnight. Still, Ashley’s taking it all in his well-choreographed stride and is loving the whole Strictly experience.

The Judges seem rather keen too, awarding Ashley 25 for his Cha Cha Cha, 32 for his American Smooth and 31 for his Samba.

Week Six saw them dance an "aggressive, dark and mysterious" Tango which earned them a very respectable 33 points before they went on to top this with their highest score yet of 35 thanks to a Quickstep that caused Bruno to exclaim "sparks are flying!"

We’re still waiting for them to do a dance to Boney M's "Daddy Cool" though!

With looks good enough to make Brad and Angelina feel self-conscious, this gorgeous pair did justice to their team name in Week One. Heading straight to the top of the leader board with their stunning Waltz, Len exclaimed "Abbey, that is the dance of the night." Week Two saw Abbey's nerves creep in and after a respectable score of 30, Darcey reassured the model with the words, "You can dance Abbey. You just have to trust your partner and relax."

Week Three saw Abbey and Aljaz awarded their lowest score yet of 28 for their lively Jive, but since then their performances have seen them awarded consistently high scores in the mid 30's. After their shock placing in the dance off in Week Six, they returned to wow us with an incredible 'Cabaret' themed Charleston in Week Seven which earned them their highest score yet of 36, but what's next for The A-Team?

One half of the two Hairy Bikers, Dave Myers has traded in co-presenter Si King for pro-dancer Karen Hauer. But can she keep his engine ticking over to ensure the ultimate performance each Saturday night?

Racing his way to joint bottom of the leader board alongside Tony Jacklin, Dave scored 16 for his Cha Cha Cha in Week One. There was improvement the next week with 17 for his American Smooth. King of cuisine Dave had the audience eating out the palm of his hand, but not so much the Judges with Bruno commenting, “Talk about cooking up a storm. You're cooking up a stink my darling.”

Week Three saw Dave and Karen make a U-turn back to the lower scores of their first performance, getting just 16 for their Paso.

Looking at this exquisite couple is like staring into at the sun for too long; they’re dazzlingly hot in a way that can damage your retinas. But we’ll keep doing it anyway!

Kicking things off in Week One, we saw Ben Cha-Cha his way into joint second from last with Vanessa and James. But, all his 'try'-ing paid off the following Saturday as he waltzed his way to a respectable 25 in Week Two.

Things generally seem to have been improving for Ben and Kristina since and a passionate Paso in Week Six saw them awarded their highest score yet of 32 but they stumbled slightly as they jumped, jived and wailed their way the following week to 26 points and joint fifth place on the leaderboard with Fiona and Anton.

Support Team 'PatAnya'

Team PatAnya are Casualty star Patrick Robinson and dance partner Anya Garnis. A formidable pairing, at the age of 49, Patrick has already declared that he wants to be the oldest winner of SCD, and from his early performances he may just stand a chance.

Week One saw the couple perform an energetic Jive to ‘Runaway Baby’, and a dramatic Tango to Michael Jackson’s ‘Beat It’ followed in week Two, which had Bruno describing it as... ‘Strong and gritty and very grounded, you went for it’’.

They suffered a slight set back in Week Five after Patrick injured his hand causing them to make last minute changes to their Salsa but they were soon back on track and scored a perfect 10 from Darcey in Week Seven for a stunning American Smooth that oozed style and sophistication.

Patrick and Anya spend plenty of time laughing during their training, but despite her diminutive stature Anya can be tough on Patrick when she needs to be.

Support Team 'Nartem'

Team Nartem have got it all - beauty, grace and style... and that’s just Russian hunk Artem Chigvintsev. But in all seriousness, his pairing with the gorgeous actress Natalie Gumede has made them one hot, hot couple.

Natalie immediately showed she’s more than just a psychotic Coronation Street policewoman, with an amazing Cha Cha to ‘Rasputin’ in Week One and a stunning Waltz to ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ in Week Two, which had Darcey in raptures... ’You have the quality, the feeling, and it goes straight into the upper body, you've got this beautiful stretch’.

Despite setbacks through the weeks such as a back injury and a broken nose, Team Nartem became the first couple of the series to score a 10 in Week Six after their hauntingly beautiful Viennese Waltz. In fact they scored two 10's, with Bruno exclaiming "I don't think there is a person in the country that's not screaming now this was magic, magic, magic, magic!" Week Seven saw the couple miss the show due to illness but they were determined to return to the dancefloor, hopefully bringing back some of that magic with them!

Support Team 'Marketa'

From the outside the pairing of gregarious, funny, warm, and dare we say cuddly, actor Mark Benton and frosty Lithuanian ice queen Iveta Lukosiute, looked to be a huge mis-match. BUT these two have not only been getting on like a house on fire – they’ve been setting the dance floor alight as well.

Mark may be ‘doing it for the big guys’ but he immediately showed that he’s light on his feet with a brilliant comical Tango to ‘Hernando’s Hideaway’ in Week One. Their Cha Cha in Week Four to MC Hammer's 'Can't Touch This' also proved to be particualrly memorable and in Week Five Mark showed us he wasn't just the funny man with a beautiful Waltz and a very respectable 28 points.

They survived the dance off against Team Hauerly Daveson in Week Seven after a Rumba that scored just 23 points from the Judges.

Leaderboard aside, it’s safe to say that Mark and Iveta are definitely having a laugh in the training room and their sense of fun shines through in their dances.

Dragon's Den star Deborah Meaden and Robin Windsor are Team DebWin. Despite her tough businesswoman persona, Deborah has shown her fun side since joining Strictly, and has formed a hilarious partnership with her NBF Robin.

In training, the couple look like they’re having far too much fun together, but this hasn’t stopped Deborah from impressing the judges during the live shows.

Week One saw them perform a fantastic Tango to ABBA’s ‘Money Money Money’, in the second week they did the Cha Cha Cha to Aretha Franklin’s ‘Respect’ which had Bruno exclaiming…’I loved that bubbly, feisty, frivolous personality’.

Week Three brought with it a marked improvement, with Deborah and Robin being awarded 28 for their delightful Quickstep.

Pop princess Sophie Ellis-Bextor is hoping to top the Strictly charts with veteran dancer Brendan Cole! It certainly wasn’t ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ after their Waltz in Week One earned them an impressive 28 points. They then went on to set a record for the highest ever score for Week Two with their ‘stylistically perfect’ Charleston. They have performed consistently well since with highlights including a fabulous Foxtrot and 35 points in Week Four and the first Argentine Tango of the series in Week Seven which earned them great praise from the Judges for their impressive lifts.

What will they pull out of the dance bag next? It’s been an incredible start for this pairing but will they be able to ‘Trip the Light Fantastic’ all the way to the Strictly final? They’ll need your support to get them there so show some love for Team Soco and leave your comments below.

Newsflash! Let’s get Reid-y to rumba. It’s Team Kevanna. Susanna Reid has swapped the comfort of the BBC Breakfast sofa for the challenge of the Strictly ballroom, finding herself partnered up with new boy Kevin from Grimsby.

Breakfast presenters have had varied results on the Strictly dancefloor but it looks like Team Kevanna have nothing to worry about. They’ve been creating some very positive headlines with their first performance, the Jive, described as ‘fast’, ‘fabulous’ and ‘fantastic and gaining them 28 points.

Since then, they've gone from strength to strength with 34 points for both their Viennese Waltz in Week Three and their Charleston at Halloween. They followed this with their top score of 36 in Week Seven after they lit up the Strictly ballroom with a Waltz that took our breath away. Even Craig thought it was "absolutely gorgeous!"

This glamorous pairing performed a Tango to a classic Bond theme in the first week, causing the Judges to remark that it was nice to see Anton with a partner who could dance this year!

Their finest performance yet came in Week Five with a glamorous Quickstep and 30 points. Week Seven saw their lowest score in a while with 26 points for their Paso to Blur's Song 2 but do you think that they could still have their (Golden)eye on the Strictly Glitterball?

It's bound to be glamour and glitz galore as the darling of British fashion, Julien MacDonald, brings his unique style and plenty of fun to the dancefloor with his partner, Strictly debutante, Janette Manrara.

Their opening performance of the series saw them Cha-Cha-Cha to Vogue only for Craig to tell them ‘that Madonna had absolutely nothing to worry about.’ However, as Julien pointed out, it was all about his fab-u-lous outfit and it’s 20,000 crystals!

Alas, Week Two and Three have seen Julien in the dance off twice already. Will it be third time lucky too?
