These sports stars celebrated Halloween in style

It's official. Sport stars love Halloween. Or perhaps they just love fancy dress. 

Yes, every year, when 31 October rolls around, some of sports biggest names use their hard-earned wages to dress up in costumes that are intended to scare the living daylights out of people.

This year was no different but which athlete won Halloween 2018?

Marvel at (pun intended) former AC Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda. The Melbourne Victory player dressed up as Thor from the Avengers franchise for his Halloween party. 

"For all kids," he wrote on Instagram, perhaps 'For big kids' would have been more accurate.

King James never fails to impress on Halloween, deciding to dress-up as Jason Voorhees from the 'Friday the 13th' horror movie series this year. Please don't say that's an axe you're holding in your hand, LeBron.

Odell Beckham Jr. opted to wear a similar mask when he rocked up at this Sunday's NFL game, however he was slightly more fashionable than scary. OBJ quoted Bane from 'The Dark Knight Rises' in his Instagram bio, saying, "no one cared who I was till I put on the mask.

This is basically what you'd get if Halloween was sponsored by Fendi.

Damian Lillard

We're pushing the boundaries of Halloween here because this was actually filmed on 23 October a week before the big day but this is too good!

Portland Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard was unrecognisable when he rocked up at his NBA game against the Washington Wizards dressed as former WWE superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The point-guard nailed his entrance with a fake championship belt and t-shirt that had Stone Cold's catchphrase '3:16' written on it. It was so good that the real Stone Cold tweeted Lillard's outfit saying, "Oh hell yeah!!!"...and that's the bottom line!

The tennis player was inspired by Kanye West and Lil Pump's video for the track, 'I Love It.'

Although the fear factor may not be there, you've still got to give credit for creativity.

The Manchester City prospect danced the night away in his Michael Jackson-inspired 'Thriller' outfit, or as he'd call it, 'Zinchiller', external.

The 21-year-old had some impressive dance moves to accompany his red and black leather 80's inspired outfit.

The Houston Texans wide reciever may well have won Halloween with this incredible body art mimicking a member of the Na'Vi clan from the 2009 film 'Avatar'.
