BBC to bring audiences an unmissable summer of music

BBC Introducing Announce Regional Partnerships

  • Published

BBC Introducing will be launching a series of major new partnerships designed to strengthen talent development in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Working closely with organisations and key leaders across each nation, these partnerships will create new pathways for emerging artists, supporting their journey from hometown shows to some of the UK's biggest stages, including Glastonbury.

These new alliances build on the success of BBC Introducing's partnership network in the North East with The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, The Fire Station, Middlesbrough Town Hall, Tees Music Alliance and Generator.

Together they've created a pipeline that nurtures artist development, supports long-lasting creative careers and champions the region's vibrant music scene.

BBC Introducing will work collaboratively with venues, educators, promoters and cultural organisations across Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to give artists opportunities from their first local show to national exposure on some of the UK's most iconic stages.

In Northern Ireland, Introducing will connect with Glasgowbury, Oh Yeah Centre, The Limelight Belfast, Shine, The Nerve Centre and ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall | Ulster Hall to strengthen support for artists in Northern Ireland and raise the profile of BBC Introducing locally. This collaboration launches with a new programme of BBC Introducing showcases in Northern Ireland.

There was also a BBC Introducing Stage at TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow and, new to this year, a BBC Introducing stage at SWN Festival in Cardiff. More details will be announced on the Scotland and Wales partnerships.
