| Tuesday, 17 September, 2002, 16:29 GMT 17:29 UK Crime Day: Your reaction ![]() The BBC devoted Wednesday, 18 September to looking at crime, punishment and what you can do to prevent yourself becoming a crime statistic. Presented by Fiona Bruce and Nick Ross, Cracking Crime Day spanned BBC One, BBC Radio and BBCi. But we wanted to know what you thought of the idea? Was it useful? Did it answer your concerns about how crime can be reduced? Did we address the real issues? Can this sort of coverage and debate spark change? Are you more reassured after hearing from the Home Secretary David Blunkett? Or did you remain unconvinced about government measures to tackle crime? We put your questions and ideas to the Director of Crimestoppers, Roy Clark in a BBC Forum at 1800GMT/1900BST on Friday 20 September.
Roy is a former Deputy Assistant Commissioner at New Scotland Yard and was responsible last year for the review of all murders committed within London. Joining Roy was Police Officer, John Williams from the City of Norwich Police. John Williams works in the Youth Offending Team. |
